Reiki has specifically been documented to relax muscles, still the mind, and ease pain. Hands-on treatment has been
scientifically proven to accelerate healing and many health professionals are effectively incorporating the use of Reiki into
their individual practices. Those who learn Reiki find that it can be successfully administered very simply in all kinds
of settings: home, clinic, hospital, or any place where people experience stressed muscles, accidents, exhaustion, or personal
trauma. The structure of the class covers the history of Reiki, initiation and integration, treating yourself, and treating
others. Students will receive a Certificate of Completion (necessary to advance to the next level) and a Reiki, First
Degree Practitioner's Manual. The book, "The Ethics of Caring" by Kylea Taylor is required reading. You will also be
offered the option to purchase a guided reiki self-healing meditation. Deadline to register: March 15, 2010.

HEALING THE HEART AND THE SPIRIT
WITH CURANDERISMO

Learn
the history and healing practices of ancient Mexico to clear yourself, and others, of blocks that prevent you from having
a more fulfilling life; how to recognize intrusive energies and take appropriate action to clear yourself and your space;
learn the ethics unique to indigenous healing, including how to ask for and receive healing, how to maintain appropriate boundaries,
and how to stay grounded and caring even while in an altered state; the power of prayer, ritual, sacred breath and intent;
how to conduct a Platica as well as Limpias; and, how to honor and collaborate with plant and animal allies to restore balance
and harmony for yourself, your clients, family and Mother Earth. This workshop is for those beginning their healing journey
as well as for experienced energy workers, massage therapists and other health care practitioners. It will include practice
and demonstration with time to answer questions and address individual interests.
