HEALING THE HEART & RESTORING THE SOUL, AN INTRODUCTION TO CURANDERISMO
An informal two-hour discussion of curanderismo's history and rituals, including the use of platicas, herbs, ritual baths, prayer and energy movements that help release negative emotion and energetic attachments. Based on Aztec and Mayan healing arts, treatments help re-integrate aspects of the self that may have been lost, or fragmented, due to trauma or disease in order restore harmony and wholeness. The presentation includes a hands-on demonstration of a typical limpia (spiritual purification ritual).

CURANDERISMO: AZTEC & MAYAN RITUALS FOR HEALING AND PROTECTION
This three day workshop is a lively combination of storytelling, discussion and hands-on instruction as well as hands-on practice. Participants will develop a better understanding of this syncretic healing tradition of the Americas. Suitable for both the beginner to advanced healing practitioner, topics will depend on inner guidance and may include setting up a mesa de trabajo (working altar), introduction to plant spirit and animal allies, Limpias (spiritual cleansing) for oneself or another using eggs, plants and other tools, how to clear a healing space of pathogenic energies (home/business), and the use of energy movements for bodywork.

COYOLXAUQUI, WOMAN'S RETURN TO WHOLENESS
Coyolxauqui, the daughter of the Aztec mother of the gods, Coatlicue, was known as the goddess of the moon, as well as the ruler of the star gods. She was dismembered by her brother Huizlipochtli. It is said that she represents the time when women's contribution to maintaining balance in our society and the world would not be honored and the time when many women would forget their innate wisdom and appropriate use of feminine spiritual power. This workshop is for women who are ready to answer Spirit's call to wholeness and help restore the energy of the divine feminine. You will participate in Aztec rituals of purification and healing in order to call back the fragmented parts of yourself which you have given away, or had taken, in order to return to balance... your soul's work with your family and community will be strengthened and your sense of sacred purpose restored.

THE EAGLE AND THE SERPENT: THE HEALING WISDOM OF THE AMERICAS
with KEN COHEN AND GRACE ALVAREZ SESMA
Discover how to soar like an eagle, to see from a wider, spiritual perspective, and how to be close to the earth, like a snake, aware of earth energy and the healing power of nature.... experience the use of prayer, song, and dance in healing; learn about the role of herbs in indigenous medicine; practice subtle energy healing techniques; and, through discussion and story-telling, learn about the ancient values that are the key to a whole and happy life. As indigenous calendars -- such as the Mayan -- come to a turning point, it is time to transcend barriers formed by small-mindedness. Opposites are brought to unity and harmony: eagle and snake, male and female, mind and body.

THE QUETZAL & THE RETURN OF THE GRANDMOTHERS
The Quetzal (Mexico) serves as a bridge between the Eagle (North) and the Condor (South) in the Maya and Mexika prophetic traditions.... How does the beauty and fluidity of the Quetzal teach us about bridging cultures and traditions? Learn about the return of the Spiritual Grandmothers' energy in today's world. Together, we will reflect upon, and learn how to honor, the Divine Feminine in both men and women, for our spiritual growth and the restoration of harmony and balance between peoples and nations.

"I am the woman who cleans with herbs, says; I am the woman who fixes things, says; I am Morning Star woman, says; I am a woman of light, says; I am a Lord eagle woman, says."
